One way to be a
corporate-rodeo is a B-School degree. But which B-School to go for?
A convenient method is to Google a list of B-Schools Rankings. But the school you are getting admission to, may not be in the top 10 or 20.
Also if you are a prudent would be B-School student, you would not simply take things for face value. You would want to do some personal research which could be on the following lines:
1. See the ROI (Return on Investment) 5 years out from business school. Or Post-MBA salaries 3 years after graduation.
2. Entrance exam scores as part of student selectivity.
3. The ability of the MBA to open new career opportunities, as well as the international make-up of the school.
Other information if available could be:
4. The satisfaction levels of two core stakeholders: students and recruiters.
You can try to look up students of those colleges on social networking sites and have a first-hand intel.
5. Survey of deans and MBA directors.
